In the year 4712 there was a short lived rebellion within the city and surrounding lands. It lasted but half a year.   General Bourne, Commander of the Chellish imperial fleet lead an armada south along the river Adivian from the capital of Egorian to blockaid the city and fire the newly invented hellfire cannons upon the population.   Ecarrdin, son of Mammon succeeded in creating a permanent portal to Hell deep below the city allowing the Tyrant of the 3rd level of Hell to send reinforcements to aid Cheliax from the city of Div within Hell.   Some wealthy citizens tried to use a well of worlds to open a portal to Heaven but failed when it was destroyed by a small unit of Hellknights.   The Widow Queen Kaltessa Iyis, Royal of the house of Niddlese assumes control over the city of Westcrown bringing her forces of Bearded Devil's, Imps, Kyton and conscripts from her kingdoms of Isger and Drums to lay siege from the west and north.
