How To View Sheet During Session

Over the past few sessions, some players have had new and interesting challenges in their methods to see
1) the Stream and Dice Roller for a session in progress

(This is what you get when you Enter Session.)

and

2) their character sheet

(We need that!)

with an option on

3) also viewing such things as Memories, Quests, the Session Intro, and that magic source of GM attention: the Journal.

If you are using a Windows machine

Step One:

• Make certain that you are logged into the correct character for tonight's adventuring.
• On the column to the left of your screen, left-click the second appearance from the top of your character's name. It will have to its left an icon of a stylized eye; it will appear just below a horizontal bar, and just above the word "Equipment".

Your Profile page should appear -- the one from which you typically Enter Session.

Step Two:

• Hover your mouse over the word "Sheet", which is either on the top of the screen or in the left column.
• Right-click.
• Choose Open in new tab. Or open it in a new window, if you want to be able to alt+tab between the two! I'm not the boss of you.
  Unless I'm the GM!

Step Three:

• By clicking on the first tab, or by holding down Ctrl and pressing "Page Up" on your keyboard, return to your character's Profile.
• Enter Session.

Step Four:

Do a test roll.

Step Five:

To swap back and forth between them, left-click on the tabs at the top of your browser window. Or hold down Ctrl on your keyboard while you press "Page Up" or "Page Down".

Do not close the tabs until the session is over!

Test your mike and headset -- it's crime-fightin' time!

If you are using an Apple machine

Note that I mostly do not use Apple devices! I'm compiling this helpful guide from looking at Official Apple Support Guide pages plus listening to my in-laws during a family visit.

Step One:

Step Two:

• Touch and hold the word "Sheets" on either the top or the left column of your window, depending on whether you're using your phone or your computer. You're doing a "long press"; mash on that link for, oh, at least 4 seconds. That's 0 APs of time!


• A menu appears. Choose Open in New Tab.

Step Three:

• Swap back to your character's Profile tab: tap the Tabs button (looks like two overlapped blue rectangles, symbolizing one tab hiding partially behind the other), then tap the tab at which you are not already looking.


• Enter Session.

Step Four:

Do a test roll.

To swap between them, tap the Tabs button (looks like two overlapped blue rectangles, symbolizing one tab hiding partially behind the other), then tap the tab at which you are not already looking.

You may want to scroll down the page from the Apple Support Guide to the seciton called Organize your tabs and make a Tab Group to include all session-relevant browser windows. This way, if you find yourself looking up world-building info such as the weight of an average Atlantic City bluefish while it's someone else's turn, you won't get completely disorganized!
