shogamorph

Shogamorphs are an omnimorph species from the Earth-12 dimension. They are not native to Earth but of the planet Utrion. The species has no natural concept of gender but when interacting with 'solids' ( their term for other non-omnimorphic species ) shogamorphs tend to select and maintain a 'gender' to help better communication.
The species is - scientifically speaking - closer in cellular composition to some varieties of Earth jellyfish. Though unlike jellyfish, shogamorphs are sentient.
Due to their omnimorrphic nature, shogamorphs are able to shapeshift themselves to consume most any forms of matter to survive. Likewise, they reproduce by the 'parents' sharing genetic material via a complex budding process.
