You follow the trail of glittering stardust motes to the back half of a building in the inner section of a block. The streets surrounding it are Degraw, Columbia, Sacket, and Van Brunt, but it would be fair to say that this particular building is just barely north of dead center for the entire block. Despite having a small unpaved parking lot between the green cement frame of a two-story structure and the entrance to the lot at Degraw Street, the part that interests you is behind the sculpture-filled "82 Degraw" building. You are looking at a single story, low, dull building that does not have a direct view of any street.
Possibly it is a shell over a utility hub?
To the north, in addition to the dirt parking lot, is the Van Meerendonk Sculpture Garden.
Directly above is the canopy of a thick, over-fifty-year-old oak tree.
To the east, a paved private lot with its entrance on Sackett Street is a parking space for tour buses. It is blocked off on the northeast "Degraw" side with sidewalk-level billboards, and on the southwest "Sacket" side with an electronically controlled iron gate.
To the south, a squat multipurpose building leases space to EZ Limousine (probably the owners of those tour buses), and an uninspiring "Fresh Fruit & Vegetable" market that is mostly the front third of a produce warehouse.
To the immediate west is a small rectangular garden with a round picnic table and benches. West of that is the back half of a two story office-and-apartment building. It would make a great observation point for a caped crusader, if only it were not so glaringly white.
