Life, Crime
A hypnotic violinist is the chief minion for an "Element Master" who has a quartet of brainwashed minions obeying the violinist's every cue.
Word has not yet gotten around New York City's villain community that any metahuman with feline genetics is going to be a lethal problem if their conscious minds are subdued. The violinist tries to bend the catgirl to his will so that he can set her after Knight Thrasher. Abruptly "mindless" Feral goes into a violent rage instantly as she reverts to her underlying programming. She murders the violinist before her friends can stop her -- Firestar is in a championship contest against the Elemental called "Ice", and Thrasher has his hands full with the other three elements. The Element Master does get away, but without accomplishing any of his goals.
Once the lead villains are removed from the situation, the Four Elementals become frightened, amnesiac metahuman individuals who have clearly been altered from their original physical form. None of the four know anything about themselves or about the villains. Firestar brings "Ice", who almost defeated her, home to Metropolis and the custody of Dr. Jean-Claude Gironde.
