Case of the Sleeper Plague
Life, Crime
All around the city of Metropolis, people have been found asleep in strange locations. They cannot be awakened!
- One was found asleep on the tourist dock at 3:00 a.m. by a city sweeper.
- One was discovered in an alley behind a Waffle House by the garbage pickup crew.
- Someone was found asleep in the back seat of a junked taxi, in the spare parts yard for the Diamond Taxi Cab Company.
- A woman was found in the a/c access room on the seventh floor of an eight-story office building
- Most recently, a victim was found asleep on the Mayor's desk
Originally run in July 2008, this was a relatively short adventure of the Trenchcoat Brigade with special guest star Thunderstrike. All over town, citizens in the middle of various activities suddenly fell asleep, and couldn't be awakened. The cause turned out to be a hypnotist with a fascination for death traps, kidnapping psychically gifted children to increase his range of potential attacks against any hero who might show up.
Kadaver was kidnapping psychically gifted children to increase his range of potential attacks against pesky heroes.
The Very Strange Wide Skylight Window in
The Shadow's house is a factor.
To keep them out of the way after he had successfully hypnotized them, Kadaver put
Thunderstrike and the Shadow in the back of a van, in the pattycake position, where they eventually woke up from Kadaver's hypnotic influence.
They took it very poorly, as is only fair!
Tales of Justice is a work of pure, unabashed fiction. In fact, it considers itself rather heroic and quite proud of itself. Names of characters, places, events, organizations, and locations are creations of the author's imagination for this fictitious setting. Some have been inspired by other sources, which will be credited at the top right of the article.

Any resemblance to persons living, dead, or reanimated is coincidental. The opinions expressed are those of the characters and should not be confused with either of the authors, since the characters and authors tend to disagree a lot.
