Bringer of Corruption

The Provoker of Torment is a helmet designed by the Shade Keepers to spread negative thoughts and emotions to those around them. Through this helmet it allowed them to create large amounts of Gloomspawn as a time as it effects often allowed the process of Gloomification to increase rapidly than if the process was done normal. This was done by allowing the wearer to enter the minds of others and target negative thoughts and emotions and target them. Once the user has a hold of them, they will begin to bombard the target's mental state by making these thoughts and emotions worse. Leaving them in a state of torment that allows them to turn much faster into Gloomspawn. But the helmet works both ways as it will also affect the wears mind the more they use it on others. They will often take some of the emotions or thoughts back with them from the minds that they enter. By doing this, the Provoker of Torment will begin to cause its torment on its wearer and begin to transform them as well, but into something else entirely. These beings, known as Shadowkin, are far more intelligent than their Gloomspawn kin and are more powerful. Allowing the Shade Keepers to become more powerful and, with their new forms, enhance the powers of the helmet even further. However, this relic would be lost once they were defeated by Dawn Keepers and has never been found since that time. All that is needed now is for someone to find it to begin another age of torment on all that within its reach.
