Spire Barriers

Through the Radiarchs, the barriers stand and repel the influence of all wicked things so we shall know peace; most don't think about what happens when they are not around. - Truthful Steward
One of the most important inventions in the world is constantly used to protect the lands of the Radiarchies of Embera from the encroaching influence of The Gloom by keeping it at bay through a powerful barrier made of Radiance that spans across the sky in a glowing light that can be barely seen across the sky. Its effect ensures a reduction of anything gloom-related. It minimizes its effects to ensure that the people under its range can live peacefully with the fear of danger around every turn. Each Radiarchy has one central spire and several support spires to expand the area it can reach.

Utility

The spire's true purpose is to maintain a barrier comprised of Radiance to allow it to cover a large area of land to negate the influence of the Gloom that constantly exists across the world, whether it may be an adverse effect or its dark powers that exist to cause harm to all around them. So long as the barrier is maintained, these wicked powers are kept at bay to create a peaceful environment for people to live in without being in constant fear.

Social Impact

People under the barriers are considered thankful for such a gift, seeing that it protects them from the world's dangers and without fear for the rest of their lives, allowing them to truly understand what the gift of light offers.
Access & Availability
The spires are only accessible to the citadels that harbor a Radiant within their walls, as they are the only ones capable of constantly maintaining their power, with any other source quickly draining in a short amount of time.
Complexity
The spires themselves are based on ancient plans created by the Scions of the Dawn, with only using enough of that knowledge to make the spires and the material required to build them without giving up any secrets to ensure that no one can destroy to counter their effect.
