History of Gallia

It seems during this period many different northern families and clans all have myths or reports of battles with small forest gnome creatures. Many of the stories all share similarities such as the gnomish creatures living inside the trees and using wild hit-and-run tactics. While their numbers put up a good fight it seems they were no match for the Elvin magic and control of the woods.

It is unknown where the sickness truly began but many eastern clans started reporting a new strange disease around the same time. After only a few days it becomes apparent how deadly this disease is, and the infected clans are confined to their towns. This was one of the rare occurrences where all clans from the forest came together to debate on the next step, finally a month after the beginning it was decided the infected would be killed and the bodies burned to stop the spreading any further. In the end not much is known about the disease it was called mushroom fever as the infected would have mushrooms start to grow from their own body.

After a year of attacks and skirmishes, the Empire launches a full-force war effort against the forest and its inhabitants. It seems that the Empire is ready to cut down anything in their way whether that be the trees or enemies.

Mapmaker Orius lead a long and adventurous life, they say even as a boy he was already sneaking out to the edges of the forest whenever he could. This fascination with the outside world only grew as he did and unlike most of his other brethren, Orius chose to leave Gallia and spend the next part of his life exploring Talos and seeing all that it has to offer. When he returned to Gallia he claimed to have mapped out everywhere he had traveled, many believed he had more outside knowledge of the world than any wood elf. Due to this he was chosen to help with the foreign affairs of other nations and proved himself until rising to a council member himself. Sadly Orius was found assassinated in his chambers; he was found by his son Odius apparently many important Gallia documents were also stolen.

Aegnor the Battlemaster was a member of the Council of Trees until his untimely demise during the Night of Cloaks. He was best known for his iron will and his abilities on the battlefield earning him the title of battlemaster. He met his end after he charged the leaders behind the night of cloaks holding many enemies back allowing for the escape of several other council members.
