Time Delta Collection
The Time Delta Collection is an Ordo Chronoplex stronghold located on a small island near Gulderry in the Grand Triskele Lake.
Purpose / Function
Like all strongholds of the Ordo Chronoplex, the Time Delta Collection serves as place where members of the organization can meet and perform their research into parallel time streams in peaceful secrecy from the outside world. The name of the location evokes the notion of a river delta; the many streams of time, both faster and slower, that share the space of the Collection, are thought of as branching apart in the manner of such a hydrological formation.
The library contains the collected works of many Ordo Chronoplex members both past and present, but there are persistent rumors that some of the works actually represent artifacts from the heretofore unreachable future. For this reason, those arcana-users in the organization focussed on scrying and divination in addition to the requisite time manipulation powers often seek out this collection in hopes of either verifying or disproving these rumors - and, if they prove true, determining by who and by what means they were delivered into the library's exclusive time stream.
Architecture
From the outside, the Time Delta Collection appears to be a monolithic rock that takes up the entirety of the small island which the library occupies. To an arcanist with the right powers, however, the surface of the rock has been visibly hewn away to create a pier and a hollow for a lavishly-decorated vault with a timber facade. The interior is a large cube two stories tall richly-appointed in polished hardwoods and antique red velvet. A central meeting and reading space is surrounded on all sides by two stories of bookshelves; a perimeter mezzanine, reachable by two sets of decorative wrought iron staircases on tracks, provides access to the second story of shelves.
