PC Thoril Brinsbane

A young noble Paladin out on adventure for the first time, not used to conditions that are not his palace with servants, but dutiful and honor bound to help his people.   Background
The eldest son of Waterdhavian nobles Silvina and Thorsten Brinsbane, Thoril is the heir to their owned farmland in Amphail. The Brinsbane are a lower noble house that are pledged to the Cassalanter family, the wealthy and powerful moneylender noble house that controls much of Waterdeep. While the family aspires to have more power and influence in the city, it was not the life Thoril wanted to lead.
While his younger brother Thipheus was a prodigy of intellect, sought as an apprentice by many power brokers of the city, Thoril was always more brawn then brains. One family trait he has is the endearing desire to help those in need. His younger sister Saru reflects this, constantly volunteering at the local temple to aid those in need. Thoril knew that if he were to prove himself and his family’s name he would have to leave the city and earn it.
Following the light of Lathander he pledged himself to the Oath of the Paladins and made his way North. Determined not to be outshined by his younger brother, he vowed to bring great honor to the Brinsbane house, completing great adventures over dangerous foes, a chance to prove to his parents and others that he was worthy of the title of head of the noble family.
  BG: Noble
Additional BG feature: Waterdhavian Noble
You are a scion of one of the great noble families of Waterdeep. Human families who jealously guard their privilege and place in the City of Splendors, Waterdhavian nobles have a reputation across Faerûn for being eccentric, spoiled, venal, and, above all else, rich. You have the service of two retainers loyal to your family. These retainers can be attendants or messengers and are commoners who can perform mundane tasks for you, but they do not fight for you or follow you into dangerous areas. However, the other 74 royal houses of Waterdeep also employ their own retainers, and some houses hold great disdain for the Brinsbane family and Thoril's attempts to increase their status.
