Session 24: Trouble Sought, Trouble Found

General Summary

After finishing the last job, PCP leaves Blackford’s Crossing and heads towards Blasingdell. While watching the main road, a shady dealer comes up to us in an alley. Hadden buys special flower/tobacco and Rowan picks up some ball bearings and arrows. As we make our way thorugh the crowd, hoping to pass the guards unseen, 4 guards attack. Dameila, still wanted after not paying for the raft, is grabbed by 2 guards. Thoril tackles one guard. Rowan causes a scuffle and makes an old lady fall down to distract the guards, letting Dameila get away. As Dameila flees, Rowan takes out her dagger and slashes the guard’s ankle, killing him. At this point, PCP decides it’s time to go and we take off running out of Blackford’s Crossing, as we run, we hear the alarms going off and more guards coming.( ---------- Don’t remember if we stayed on the road or if we went through the trees.--------) Dameila leads the way, bringing the party North East. The adventuring party follow her for about 1 hour before we decide to set up camp for the night. Rowan gives Thoril the purple silk banner to help keep him warm throughout the night. Rowan finally gets a moment to pull out the note she took from Galavan’s shop sealed with the same wax seal the note signed R.T. had. The letter doesn’t match the handwriting of the original note, but details an agent named Mather Ukkhemn. Talks about a meeting to take place in during the Summer Solstice festival where other agents will meet to discuss the next order from the Shield Council. They plan to disrupt Waterdeep imports. The note is signed by Gallivan himself.

As the group starts to settle down to rest for the night , a fucking wild boar attacks on Dameila’s watch. Dameila gets hit and falls unconscious. Thoril throws Rowan his magic ring of spells, in the dark, and she catches it to heal him. Hadden and Thoril both fall unconscious. The boar is finally killed. (---I have no notes on how the boar was killed----) Rowan, still wearing Thoril’s ring, heals both Hadden and Thoril. With Dameila still unconscious, Thoril stabilizes her. We take a long rest (short rest?) until Dameila recovers. When she awakes, Thoril leads the way to Blasingdell. PCP continues to walk the road until sun set where the set up camp again. Dameila brings us 3 pheasants, she eats one raw as Hadden & Thoril begin to pluck. Hadden tells the party of his time on the Ravenous, tells us that he believes the pirates in Luskan are connected to the Ravenous. The next morning, we continue our journey and we hear screaming. We see a tree on fire and an overturn carriage. Despite Hadden & Dameila protesting that we shouldn’t help, Thoril & Rowan run in to help. We fight an OwlBear. We kill OwlBear (----I have very little notes about the actual battle.---) As we finish the fight with the OwlBear, arrows start shooting at us and we see a Male & Female Elf (--- Don’t remember names---) accuse us of destroying their land. After explaining that we were only trying to help and this wasn’t caused by us, the elves tell us about the blighted trees and wildlife. Thoril mentions to them how we’ve seen something similar and found/destroyed the cause and offers our services. They accept the offer and give us shelter.
