Imperial Iron
Summary
Imperial Iron, called Titanic Iron outside of Tiorath, is a strong yet lightweight metal that is as strong as many steels without refinement or alloying, but can be forged in a usable form by only a few smiths across mainland Tor'Saarn. However it is used commonly in Tiorath (where most large smithies are built to achieve greater temperatures) and is the base of the alloy known as Tiorathan Steel.Harvesting
It is Harvested primarily from the mountains of Nor'Renic and Nor'Holruun, but deposits have been found elsewhere in Tor'Saarn. Few cultures harvest it in serious quantaties, with the majority being mined in Tiorath, Seofare, West Felsaed, Tierdun and Aerust, but some is mined in East Felsaed, Hyeros and Oron'Hye.Uses and users
Imperial Iron is coveted across the world, but goods forged from the material are rare across the continent as it is difficult to forge, and the largest producer, Tiorath, seldom exports it in large numbers. It is used in Tiorath in the process of creating Tiorathan steel, the strongest non-magic alloy.History
The material was discovered in Tiorath a full century prior to the first age, but couldn't be used for alloying until the war between the independent and unified kingdoms of Tiorath. It was first used to make Tiorathan Steel by the Holruun kingdom.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
