Singing Steel
Summary
Singing Steel is an alloy made by The Godcasters of Sethir, and is used in the construction of their Tineswords. The Material is capable of creating a magical energy field when spun, generating a slight hum while the field is active. This field could be used to generate 'spell currents' when directed, allowing spells to be amplified both in range and power.Manufacture
Only The Godcasters of Sethir are capable of creating this alloy, and guard the secret of it's manufacture closely. Each of the Godcasters have even refined the material to the point where each god can even make their own variations. For example, standard Singing steel has equal effectiveness no matter the spell, whereas each Godcaster's strains focus on carrying their own elemental spells.Uses
Singing Steel is used for the Tineswords of The Godcasters of Sethir, with The Godcasters sometimes granting small portions of this allow to those they have befriended. The few Non-Godcasters who have gained a small amount of this miracle alloy have used it to build armor and swords that can outperform even the best wizards staffs in directing or redirecting spells.Appearance
Armor and weapons made with this alloy often have a silver tint, and the purer the alloy the brighter the silver, with pure Singing Steel being even brighter and more lustrous than real silver. Orlad's variation of the alloy is slightly less lustrous, and when used forms a natural layer of frost on the surface. Endros's alloy is even more lustrous than the regular variety, and can even be modified through an unknown process to become golden. Kilric's variety appears as a clean rose gold, and is equally as lustrous as Endros's variant of Singing Steel.
