Tide-Maker Class Ship Hunter
Summary
The Tide-Maker Class Ship Hunter is a class of ship used throughout Sethir (albeit in small numbers), and it is considered one of the most successful Interceptors still in use anywhere in Tor'Saarn.Description
It appears superficially similar to the Splinter Class Ship Hunter of antiquity, albeit not as long, sporting smaller flank bulges and with a lower sail (as it is designed to capture artificial winds as opposed to regular gusts of wind). They make use of twin echo-rods, which emerge from each side and bear the appearance of two thin, sharpened Tines. on the upper flanks of the ship are two smaller tube-like bulges, which house a pair of long barreled cannons.Utility
The ship was designed to outrun and gun down important targets, and had few cannons on it's flank. It's echo rods were used to channel elemental energy summoned by a caster, and as such the energy used could vary wildly in element. The ship needed at least three casters to properly function, and as such few were operational at any one time. One caster would summon some form of wind to move the ship, whilst two powered the echo rods bellow deck. The vessel only had a small kitchen, crew quarters and infirmary, and as such was best used for intercepting oncoming ships within range of the coast or accompanying larger vessels.History
This ship first saw service early in the Sethiri conflicts, and was used as a part of the emerging Seofarean navy to decimate fleets coming to the mainland from Tiorath.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
