Description

Those elder yews that still stand are picturesque and revered by those who settle near them. Culturally important to the elves who once ruled Gaes, none have grown since those days of the distant past.

Usage

Since the wood heals naturally, it is potent in remedies for unnatural ailments, such as necrosis or wounds caused by chronomancy.
Elder yew trees can sense intention when being harvested. Taking a cutting with the intent to cause harm (like crafting weapons) will permanently damage the tree. As such, weapons can only be made from material that falls via wind, lightning strikes, or other natural occurrences. Still, arms and armor made from elder yew are coveted because of their self-repairing abilities.
