The Supreme Judge

The Supreme Judge oversees the entirety of the Azorius Senate, and drives the focus and mission of the organization.

The Arbiter

There are always a total of three Arbiters, each the head of a Column, or focus of the Azorius Senate. The three columns consist of the Sova, Jelenn, and Lyev, all of which serve different functions. The three Aribers make up The Triumvirate, an advisory council to the Supreme Judge of the Azorius Senate.
The Sova Column of the Azorius Senate onsists of judges and the extensive legal apparatus surrounding them. The Jelenn Column writes and enacts the laws of Ravnica, while the Lyev Column enforces the laws created and confirmed by the other two Columns.

The Judge

The Judges of the Azorius Senate fall under the Sova Column, and mainly decide rulings and interpretations of rules created by the Jelenn Column. Judges rise from the ranks of legal apparatus surrounding courtroom hearings, be they from prosecution, legal aide teams, or simply being experts on courtroom etiquette.

The Legislator/Senator

The Legislator and Senator have opposing but equal positions in the Jelenn Column. The Legislators of the Azorius Senate are tasked with drafting laws to be implimented in Ravnica, while Senators exist to pass those laws into effect by a majority vote. This position is often reached by senior writers, researchers, and clerks, and are elected by majority vote amongst the members of the Azorius.

The Lawmage

The Lawmage belongs to the Lyev Column of the Azorius Senate, and enforce both the passing of new laws by the Jelenn column as well as the decisions and interpretations made by the Sova Column. Lawmages, despite their title, do not have to have any magic capabilites to rise from the ranks of investigator, arrestor, or officer to achieve this position. Lawmages are appointed by merit within the Lyev Column.

Legal Aides, Experts on Precedent, and Public Prosecutors

Legal aides, experts on precedent, and public prosecutors are the basic building block of the Sova Column. These positions require legal expertise and are charged with bringing various interpretations of passed laws from the Jelenn Column to a Judge to solve legal disputes. These positions are often reached after some time spent as a functionary working for the court system, though instances of legal-proficient individuals taking these roles upon entering the Azorius Senate have been reported.

Lobbyists, Researchers, Clerks, and Writers

Lobbyists, Researchers, Clerks, and Writers provide information and advice to the Legislators and Senators on the drafting and passing of laws in the Jelenn Column. These roles require critical thinking, debate skills, and attention to detail.

Investigators, Arrestors, and Officers

Investigators, arrestors, and officers of the Lyev Column enforce the passed laws of the Jelenn Column and the decisions reached by the judges of the Sova Column. They answer to the Lawmages of the Lyev Column, and ensure peaceful enaction and transition of new laws as they are passed and interpreted. These roles often involve criminal investigations and riot-control measures when new laws are passed, or if an unpopular interpretation is made of a specific law.
