The Chilling Tide

The Chilling Tide is an experimental cutter ship captained by Cain Sutton, who was entrusted with it after it failed several experimental runs for The Saffron Admiralty, for whom it was originally created. Intended to be an enforcer ship, the Chilling Tide was too light to hold its own against renegade pirates and naval ships and so was refitted to be a smuggling ship. Cain inherited leadership of the craft seven years ago, being one of the youngest recognized captains in the Admiralty's fleet. Since then, Cain has bought out the Admiralty's ownership of the Chilling Tide and is now independent.
The Chilling Tide is known for having no men in its permanent crew roster. Cain's official policy on whether or not men are allowed in the crew is, "If you find out that you are one, that's fine, because how could you know? But I'm the only king in this castle."
