Council of Seven
The main central authority for Talora. This council is made up of a representative from each of the Crafted Races.
Structure
Councilor:
Each of the Crafted Races has a Councilor that they elect as their representative. These seven individuals are the most politically powerful people in all of Talora. While they themselves do not command any armies or hold titles over lands, they are in charge of governing and lawmaking that applies across Talora, as well as settling disputes that crop up.
Regional Advisors:
Each Councilor is allowed three representatives from their homeland or race. This allows for the different cultures of their people to be represented in talks and negotiations. These advisors are also selected by the sub-culture's choice of approval. Whether that be divine right, elections, trials of strength, family name, etc.
Public Agenda
The Council was established because of the constant underlying friction that threatens to drag Talora to a screeching halt. Whenever a nation, people, or faction would find itself at odds with another, there was no central authority to appeal to for settling the matter peacefully.
Mainly driven to be put in place by the Dragonkind, as they had already found themselves in the role of settling other's disputes, the council was finally put in place and recognized by each of the Crafted Races as a legitimate source of power and authority.
Together, united.
