Episode 1 New Beginnings
General Summary
The beginning of our adventures following the newly created company in the Ember Boar Guild.
Made up by two arcane wizards that come from the Central Conservatory for Mystic Arts and Arcanum, an older dwarf who is ex-navy, and a half-elf man that has recently departed his occupation as a spy. The colorful cast of the group spend the majority of June 20th being introduced to their new guild and each other.
Later in the day, their Guild Master, Camus Sea-Tree, guides them to a contract he has curated for them so that he may observe their prowess. Explaining that a woman's dog has gone missing from her yard, and that they have been hired to retrieve it and the magical collar it wore.
Investigating the general area and speaking to the contact, our party eventually discover that the dog had been dragged down into the nearby sewers by some sort of infernal being. Wasting no time as they remove the manhole cover, the new adventurers descend down below the earth and trudge through the sludge of their new home.
Quickly discovering that the trouble maker in question is an imp, our heroes fall into a slightly chaotic scuffle inside the cramped space of the sewers. Eventually securing victory as all avenues of escape are blocked, and magic and might work together to dispatch the twisted creature, our heroes earn their first victory and acquire the lost collar.
Learning that Fluffy was no longer amongst the living, our party return back up to the surface and make contact with their employer once more. Returning both the mangled remains of Fluffy and the collar he wore to complete their contract.
Rewarded with 200 GP, Camus Sea-Tree loosely reviews their actions before suggesting they indulge in some light celebration for the evening. Leaving them to their own devices.
As a group, our heroes seek out Martha's Maidens to clean off the filth of the day before the various individuals go after their own pursuits.
Rewards Granted
100 GP (25 GP for each member of the group). Coming from half of the reward of their first contract.
