Episode 6 Digestion and Reflection
General Summary
Far beneath the city of Mesadorei, our heroes find themselves in a dwarven tomb that is quickly filling with peril and danger. Mostly being discovered by Svenjamin Suetekh of Clan Akubola as he tumbles directly into one of the twisted abominations skulking in the stale air of this structure.
Being blinded and nearly eaten, the flashy dragonkind wizard avoids his end by the edge of his scales as he retreats hastily down the hallway he had been scouting. Celebrating his continued connection with life, his victory is quickly squandered by the sounds of Jolin Svoil being eaten alive by the shambling creature.
Now without an employer to serve and finding themselves in a quickly devolving situation, our heroes decide to retreat from the undeniably awful scenario and place their focus on ascending back up to the surface. Calling out to one another in the darkness and avoiding a few more close calls with death, each member claws, leaps, drags, and pushes their way out of the tomb and back up the spiraling stairs.
Expertly collapsing the passageway behind them, Brenun Drurunath guarantees that the twisted creatures they had stumbled upon couldn't pursue them for the meantime as the rest of the party make the final trek to end up back above ground.
Arriving right into the patient arms of a cluster of Green Hoods, our heroes find themselves face to face with Kirath Balbor Akubola who is plainly disappointed.
After a brief friction of disarming the group, the captain brings the party outside to question them on the events leading to the messy scene they find themselves in. Relying on a Truth Stone to guarantee honesty before he dismisses the party with a genuine warning and veiled disdain.
As our heroes depart the mess of the brewery, they pass by a cluster of Bloody Hearts Guild members that had been requested to investigate the aftermath of our party's handiwork.
With Brenun Drurunath breaking off from the group to decompress after the travesty of their failed contract, the fractured party return back to the Ember Boar Guild and try to come to terms with what had occurred that day, speaking with both Camus Sea-Tree and Ayla Beach-Tree in hopes of improving the already tenuous situation.
As the next morning arrives, Brenun Drurunath returns back to the group and calls all the members into a meeting to analyze and breakdown the failures of their previous procedure. Wanting to guarantee that another circus such as this doesn't occur again, the group acknowledge their various missteps and decide to elect Brenun Drurunath as a soft leader of the group moving forward.
With this new position secured, Camus Sea-Tree suggests that turning the party's attentions towards another contract or mission might be beneficial, leading the party to accept the contract concerning a troublesome group of Kobolds off to the north.
Ready to prove that their worst is behind them, our heroes prepare to set off from Mesadorei and onto another adventure.
