Evaru

Overview

The Evaru are a race of immortals who inhabit the world of Tamavara. They were created and put on the planet by the new gods, using human bloodlines that were infused with god seeds. This infusion twisted these selected bloodlines into what are now known as the Evaru. Though they have a similar look to their human counterparts, Evaru are on average taller than humans, standing about 6.5 to 7 foot tall and some have been known to be even taller. They are not built as broad as humans or dwarves and tend to be tall and lanky, almost looking frail. However that look is very deceiving, as they tend to be much stronger than humans. They have long pointed ears and relatively flat noses. Their eyes have large pupils and irises, which allow them to see better in the dark. Their skin tone typically ranges from olive to very dark.   Due to the Evaru normally living incredibly long lives (only dying during a conflict, due to sickness, or passing on their god seed) they tend to be very risk-adverse. After all, why throw your life away for a petty squabble or war when you can just outlive your problems? Biologically, they feel empathy less intensely than human do especially when it comes to those outside the Evaru culture. The only exception to this is if someone has been inducted into an Evaru enclave, or is slated to receive a god seed and join the ranks of the Evaru.   The other exception is if an Evaru goes completely against tradition and spends enough time outside their enclave, growing fond of a group or member of a group they happen to be traveling with. When this happens it is possible that an Evaru may become connected to a person, though they do no feel love the way a human does, they can find comfort in the company of another and there has been counts of Evaru bedding humanoids other than Evaru. These unions gave way to a new inhabitants of Tamavara.

History

Descended Races

When evaru break social norms and decide to bed someone who is not from their enclave, their god seed genetics are mixed with the creature they have decided to bear children with and what is born is not only a mix of the two, but a creature all of its own. The interesting part of this, is the children really do become their own new race, not just a union of the two. The genetics are pure and dominate and their children will share in that lineage.   The most common union is an evaru and a human, when these two get together the offspring are known as Gamaru, or more commonly known these days, as the Goliath. They are an almost perfect union of the two races. Tall but broad, incredible strength, great vision, however their lifespan is closer to their human parentage, though a bit longer naturally. Normally they do not fit in with either evaru or human culture and more often seek out their own kind for support. More information can be found HERE
