1 copper piece = Irons or scales / One iron coin - smallest coin in the realm
10 copper piece = Wolfhead - iron alloy coin with a wolf’s head imprint
1 silver piece = Septim - worth 100 irons or 10 wolf heads.
1 gold piece = Dragonhead - worth 100 silver septics
1 silver bar = Senator - worth 1000 silver or 10 gold
1 gold bar = Hadrian - worth 500 gold
1 shard coin = Nox - worth 3000 gp
Irons/scales - smallest coin in the realm they are a square piece of iron imprinted with a set of scales on them and a hole punched in the upper part of the coin. They are dark grey in color
Wolfhead - a small round lighter grey coin about the size of a quarter, rough around the edges. A wolf’s head is on one side and a house sigil on the other. Usually one of the houses from Penthos depending on which house is in charge and when it was minted.
Septim - a hexagonal silver coin with straight edges and a hole in the center. It has a man’s head on one side with an ornate helmet and a star pattern on the opposite side.
Dragonhead - These heavy gold coins are round and neat. Fairly large like a US half dollar they have a dragon head on one side and crossed swords on the other.
Senator - A silver bar about 5” long, 2.5” wide and .25 in tall. The have a man’s head on upper portion and some geometric patterns stamped on both sides.
Hadrian - A gold bar about 4 “ long and 2” wide and .5” tall. A snake entwined with griffon is imprinted on the top half.
Shard coins - a rare thing indeed, shard coins are purplish black and round. The seem to reflect light differently depending on what angle they are viewed from. There is a crystalline property to them almost like a black opal. They are said to have many magical properties as well.
