Zooey started her career as a bodyguard for a high ranking elven official in Eduin. She quickly realized she was too intelligent for mere grunt work and started clerical work with the Elven high council. As she rose through the ranks and started to gain some power of her own she was given the position of administrator in Opahero. After several years of working for others in Elven government she got restless. Once the Wizard Agrimor approached her about a new company he was forming, she joined him in Penthaheim.
