Dhuman Election Games

The Election Games in Dhuma are a series of rigorous and competitive events held every seven years to determine the next ruler of the kingdom. Open to all races, these games test a range of skills, including strength, intelligence, leadership, and strategy. The games are a revered tradition, ensuring that the leader is the most capable and deserving individual, regardless of their background.

Structure of the Election Games

 

1. Preliminary Rounds:

  Eligibility: Candidates must be of age and demonstrate a basic level of competence in various skills through local competitions.
Selection: Only the top candidates from each region of Dhuma are chosen to participate in the main Election Games.
 

2. Main Events:

The main Election Games consist of several key events, each designed to test different aspects of leadership and capability.   A. Trial of Strength:   This event tests physical prowess, endurance, and combat skills.
Challenges: Obstacle courses, gladiatorial combat, weightlifting, and endurance races.
  Objective: To showcase the candidates' physical abilities and their capacity to protect and lead the kingdom in times of conflict.
  B. Trial of Wisdom:   This event assesses the candidates' knowledge, intelligence, and problem-solving skills.
Challenges: Riddles, puzzles, strategy games, and debates.
  Objective: To evaluate the candidates' mental acuity and their ability to make wise decisions for the kingdom.
  C. Trial of Leadership:   This event measures the candidates' leadership skills, charisma, and ability to inspire and lead others.
Challenges: Managing a simulated crisis, rallying support from the public, and leading a team through a complex task.
  Objective: To determine the candidates' leadership qualities and their ability to unite and motivate the people of Dhuma.
  D. Trial of Survival:   This event tests the candidates' survival skills and their ability to thrive in harsh environments. Challenges: Navigating through the desert, foraging for food and water, and building shelters.
  Objective: To assess the candidates' resourcefulness, adaptability, and resilience.
  E. Trial of Diplomacy:   This event evaluates the candidates' diplomatic skills and their ability to negotiate and form alliances. Challenges: Role-playing negotiations, resolving conflicts between simulated factions, and building alliances.
  Objective: To measure the candidates' ability to maintain peace and forge beneficial relationships with other nations and groups.  

Judging and Scoring

  A panel of esteemed elders, previous leaders, and experts in various fields oversee the games and judge the candidates' performances. Each trial is scored based on specific criteria, and the candidates' overall scores are tallied at the end of the games.
While the judges' scores are crucial, the opinions of the citizens of Dhuma also play a significant role in determining the final outcome. Public support is garnered through speeches, community engagement, and demonstration of values.  

Ceremony of Ascendancy

The candidate with the highest overall score is declared the winner in a grand ceremony attended by the citizens of Dhuma. The new ruler takes an oath to lead the kingdom with honor, wisdom, and strength. The transition of power is celebrated with a week-long festival, where the new ruler is officially recognized and begins their reign.
