Naiad

Naiads are a magical race that take physical characteristics from nature. For example, they may grow leaves in their hair, or have skin made partially of tree bark. Naiads also commonly have hair colors that are not natural to any other race, like blue or purple. Aside from these distinctive differences, they are human or elf-like in appearance.
They have a strong connection to nature, and rarely live in or visit cities. They take on mental characteristics and experiences from their environment, and older Naiads eventually come to represent their location in person - becoming a "spirit" of a forest, or river. The most commonly known type of Naiad is a Dryad, whose essence is tied to trees and forests.
The existence of Naids played a major part in the early formation of Earth Worship religions, and many still equate elder Naiads to deities.
