Spirit's Nectar
The port-city of La Chiave a Croce hosts a variety of cultures from across the Claw Continent. Every week there is at least one celebration, ritual, or memorial in the city limits. However, there is one week where all of La Chiave a Croce celebrates together.
In honor of the devastation Tarantellia faced during the Magic Implosion, the entire Claw Continent takes a moment of remembrance. La Chiave a Croce came together and created the Spirit Festival to celebrate the survival and perseverance of every tarant.
Spirit's Nectar is the most popular beverage during this week long celebration. It's popularity could stem from its flavor, appearance, and rarity. Although the danger involved with consumption before processing and acquiring Devil's Hope's honey could play a part as well.
Flavor
The sweet notes of this mead are cut with a sharp peppermint flavor that dances across the tongue. It's commonly said that this drink will warm the body and chill the soul.Appearance
The milky white color and consistency is considered an oddity on the Claw Continent. With the phrase, "it's not your mother's milk" stated so frequently, some have taken to calling it Malmi's Milk after the goddess of life.Rarity
Due to the poisonous nature of Devil's Hope, many of the plants have been destroyed.Danger
There are two main dangers that should be considered with the Devil's Hope. First, this plant produces a noxious gas. Attempting to harvest from bee hives within the radius of its poisonous fumes cause tortuous hallucinations so strong a person's body can go into shock. Unfortunately, many pollinators choose to live near the Devil's Hope as a form of protection from predators. Second, the leaves and petals of the Devil's Hope are poisonous as well. People who consume or imbibe teas from them suffer symptoms ranging from cramps to death.
