Fort East-Watch
This military garrison stands on the coast, nestled up against the southern edge of the White-Tip Mountains. It is a naval garrison so of course it is home to a shipyard and quite the port, as well as all necessary facilities one would imagine. It is an impressively defended position by both land and sea, as the fort itself is actually cut off from land by a massive canal, a moat of sorts blasted by skilled miners to create a continuous trench that surrounds the fort and meets the coast on both sides, effectively forcing the ocean to expand and surround the land. The channel is quite wide, almost half a kilometer in fact. The fort itself is connected to the land by a series of three drawbridges, as the dwarven engineers involved were very specific in their calculations and left two islands upon which fortified gatehouses are kept, little more than two towers and the controls for the drawbridge that comes to the island from the direction of the mainland. This is the only way into the garrison and fortress on foot. The road leading to the region also houses a small fortress town at the banks of the channel where the first drawbridge is. Layers of defense, true dwarven philosophy.
