Suaithi River

Flowing northward from the Steppes, out to meet the Tiber, this river's origin is not well known, but it is somewhere in the very north and western corner of Raechin, deep within the Steppes. It flows steady, with a deep draw, and is another excellent shipping route within Suranth, though admittedly one would not wish to sail into Raechin upon it, as the Steppes are a dangerous place. This river is of course a boon to Suaitheantas, connecting them directly into the super highway that is the Tiber system. This was a large influence to the successful growth of the Bastion of Suranth. It is a prosperous blessing to the mineral rich region as well, having allowed for easy movement of valuable resources in trade for many generations, and still plays a significant part in that task to this day, even with the advent of locomotion. The river-lands themselves are also fertile ground, allowing modest, if only of hardy and fast growing crops, agriculture, and also providing a fine region for hunting, as where one finds water and, relatively in regards to the region's climate, plentiful food? One will likely find wild game, and this is true here.
