Orcs

In western Khorvaire, the land declines in elevation rapidly, creating a lowland region known as the Shadow Marches. For more than thirty thousand years, it's swamps and moors have been home to orcs, burly and strong humanoids with gray skin and short tusks. Orcs saw little of the history of Khorvaire. They were unaware even of the rise of the Empire of Galifar.
Orcs follow strong druidic traditions instead of organized religion. Tribal orcs remain pureblooded. They deny other races entry to their society and lands because they believe that only ores have a true connection to the land.
Whatever their beliefs or ways, orcs maintain a strong tie to the Shadow Marches. They thrive in places where others could barely survive.
