Tathea

The world of Tathea has a single piece of landmass, which works in tandem with the equator to divide the planet into 4 distinct oceans. Within each of the oceans, are smaller, scattered islands with countless different cultures habiting them. Due to the divided nature of the world, unique cultures, climates, and species are able to stagnate for tens of thousands of years. On the other hand, seafaring technology has advanced greatly compared to the Forgotten Realms, matching the need for it.  

If it's gold you treasure, venture out.   If it's my treasure you seek, look no further than the end of the world itself.   I'll grant it all to you.   All the world has to offer, I've left it at that place.

  These were the final words of the former pirate king mere seconds before his public execution. In his final moments, Gold Roger's voice resonated across the world to inspire an entirely new generation of pirates. In the years following, hundred of thousands took to the seas all with the same dream: to reach the end of the Grand Line and obtain Roger's treasure. It's said that the one to obtain it would become the new king of pirates, but for the last 20 years there's been none who'd reach that final island. Nobody knows what truly lies on Laugh Tale, though there's not a single self respecting pirate who hasn't at least heard of the name once in their life. Despite the Navy's best efforts, Tathea had been ushered into a new Golden Age of piracy.
