The world needs heroes. Tatteryon, the world that was once whole, now drifts through the cosmos in pieces. Welcome to the Broken World, a place where magic is everywhere, threats lurk in the shadows, and great heroes protect the innocents. The Bearded Dragons Inn and The Deck Box are proud to bring you our newest Dungeons & Dragons 5E West Marches campaign: Ballads of a Broken World. Join the BDI weekly at The Deck Box for this massive and epic game. A West Marches-style campaign consists of multiple Dungeon Masters (DM) running various encounters that all take place in the same world at the same time. The players drive the story by choosing their characters' adventures each week. This gives the players an opportunity to play with different DMs and different players each time, creating an ever-changing world around them. Also, by the very nature of the game, this allows for a free-flowing drop-in/drop-out style of play—no need to commit to every session if you can't make it. In Ballads of a Broken World, the players are members of The Emerald Guard, an organization aimed at protecting the floating continent of Tatteryon. From savage monsters to scheming villains, The Emerald Guard has been fighting back against these forces for ages, led by the greatest heroes of the land. The Emerald Guard is always seeking new recruits. This is where your character comes in, a new recruit to the organization aiming to protect the good people of Tatteryon.
