While actually 4 separate hybrid races, the Genasi refers to the decedents of the natural residents of the Elemental Planes known as Genies and members of the Material Plane they once frequented. Genasi vary greatly, in many cases their temperament fitting the element they so reflect for example, Fire Genasi are known to be very charismatic and confident if temperamental, Water Genasi are self-serving and intensely independent, Air Genasi shift wildly between emotions, Earth Genasi are cool and collected. The Genasi are a connection to the swirling Elemental Chaos still swirling around the Material Plane.

Elemental Blood

Genasi are extremely uncommon and a typical Genasi will often never meet another of their kind in their entire life. Being creatures of two worlds, they often replace this company with other hybrid races such as Tieflings, Aasimar, Half-Elves, and Half-Orcs and fold themselves eagerly into the group. If a group cannot be found they often make their homes among the element of their descendants: Fire Genasi make their homes in deserts or near volcanoes, Water Genasi enjoy the open sea, Air Genasi take to open plains, and Earth Genasi rarely live above ground.

Chaos Personified

The Genasi are abnormally hardy, likely a result of a bloodline used to the swirling Elemental Chaos and their personality reflects their connection as well. A Genasi companion can bring many facets to your group be it a strong sense of confidence, a tie to a world beyond our own, or the talents they might bring, you need only the ability to handle such raw elemental energy personified.

Biological Traits

The Genasi truly embody the Elemental Plane they hail from, featuring traits reflective of the element that plane embodies and the unique residents known to make their home there.

• Fire: Typically have ashen gray to firey red skin with intense red hair that swirls and fluctuates with their emotions if not completely enveloped in a cool flame and bright orange to yellow eyes. They are often described as smelling of cinders and occasionally have wispy voices.
• Water: Typically have sea-green to light blue skin with large dark blue eyes and green to black hair either matted and wet or free floating as if underwater. Their skin is often damp and cool to the touch and they are occasionally described as smelling of freshly fallen rain or sea water and sometimes have voices with low whistling songs or flowing streams.
• Earth: Range wildly from dusty and muddy to made of shining gemstones or gilded metals or cracked cobblestone. Their eyes shine like jewels and they rarely are capable of growing hair, usually jewels growing in their place. They are typically taller than most other Genasi and many times stockier.
• Air: Often have light blue to pale white skin occasionally marked with light crystals or darker geometric patterns with equally vibrant hair that ranges from wild and unkempt to long and persistently tussled as if by a subtle wind. They tend to be lighter and thinner than most other Genasi. They occasionally have light airy voices sometimes marked with a subtle echo.
