Gith

Those beyond our understanding, lingering in a place beyond our grasp and masters of the mind and the realm of lost things. Never take lightly a chance meeting with a Gith for you're unlikely to leave it unchanged.
- █████ ████████, █████ Scholar
Mysterious recluses far beyond the borders of the Material Plane, little knowledge of the Gith persist beyond the redacted scholar or ancient grimoire. Their presence is nearly entirely unknown in Euri'dor having long since been sealed away from the Material Plane after the Sundering. What little remains describes them as either highly disciplined masters of matter or vicious reavers in the Sea of Lost Things.

Those of Two Horizons

The Gith had been divided in a great schism long ago, forming two groups which took to very different planes of existence. The Githyanki remained in the Sea of Stars while the Githzerai took to the eternal chaos of Limbo and remain at odds with one another for an untold number of years. The only thing they commonly share is a deep hatred of the Illithid, or Mindflayers, believed to be the result of untold centuries of enslavement. The Gith train their minds and bodies to forever purge the Illithid from the multiverse, penance for their final civil battle leaving only a handful of Cephala ships unscuttled.

Masters of the Mind

Whether through thousands of years of enslavement by the Illithid or millennia of self-reflection and mental discipline, the Gith are known to be masters of the mind, capable of peering into the minds of those near them without tapping into the Weave. They hone their minds and bodies to destroy a foe long since left to their own devices and if befriended will help you hone your own strength to cut down any obstacle in your way. Vengeance lingers in all Gith.

Basic Information

Biological Traits

The Gith share a common ancestry, regardless of the side they took following the great schism between them. They typically have dark rust colored hair, sickly yellow-green skin that has been described as clammy to the touch and often exceptionally lean after many years of fasting and rigorous training. Their eyes range from pure white to having subtly gold irises. The Gith do not have well defined sexes and are androgynous in nature though have been known to represent themselves differently based on their personal concept of gender.

Growth Rate & Stages

Gith reach maturity around their late teens and typically live for about a century. Due to their lives beyond the grasp of Time, Gith rely on the Material Plane to grow their young.
