Tyrannium
Technology of Subjugation
Often destroyed, or left in the dark corners of the world to rot and rust in loneliness, Tyrannium has an unnatural glow when in close proximity with warmth. Often times Tyrannium is laced with luminiscent areas that light when certain perimeters are met, called "Paths", these paths merge and travel throughout the Ancient Masters architecture, causing all sorts of effects as they move. Some are simply used for light, but placing your palm on the right surface might open a hidden door, or reveal a cabinet in an otherwise seamless wall used for storage.
It is a rare thing for the prideful and innovative High Elves to spite change, but this is one area where most High Elf families draw the line; They shall keep their allegiances to any Freefolk factions as long as they do not meddle with Tyrannium. Wood Elves often leave areas that contain large amounts of the alloy, for they loathe the strangeness and the unearthliness of the material and rarely wish to spend their precious resources in destroying these rare places of Tyrannium.
Appearances
Manufacturing and methods used in creating Tyrannium are unknown, and it is hinted that some expeditions throughout the world in exploring these gravesites and ruins of the Ancient Masters are there in fact because they wish to find a manual, or a guide or anything related to how to make Tyrannium operable to the normal man. Although the rare ruins discovered of Tyrannium are found to be places causing great distress and anxiety. Large, metallic walls without any decorations cover these hallways that were clearly ment for something that does not originate from Taurua. And the distress of possibly being trapped because one does not know how to activate, or interact with Tyrannium properly to open and close doors has lead to many explorers making a solemn vow not to ever enter a room build out of pure Tyrannium.
