Arcadia

The pseudoplane (or quasi-plane, in some cosmologies) home to a thaumatohuman species with great physical and often magical powers. Arcadia exists in in metaphysical resonance with Earth (several Earths, in fact) and Arcadians have traveled to Earth throughout history to test themselves through heroic deeds. These events have given rise to numerous human myths of giants, divine and semi-divine heroes, and ancient gods. Although technically forbidden, Arcadians have been known to mate with humans, producing offspring with some measure of the Arcadian parent's abilities. These thaumatohuman genes can lie dormant for generations.
