Hannah was always kind of a goth girl, fascinated by the occult. When suddenly she started hearing people's thoughts and her "spells" to influence people started working, she was super excited but also a little freaked out. But when it turned out it was her metahuman abilities manifesting and not magic at all, she was a little disappointed. She still styles herself a witch and likes to make arcane sigils and whisper incantations, even though these are not required. The superhero She-Devil took a shine to Hannah and agreed to mentor her.
