Heatwave

Collin's pyrokinetic powers manifested at birth. His parents turned him over to A.E.G.I.S. who raised him in a laboratory environment until he was able to exert a degree of control over his abilities. He then went to live in the secure wing of the Parasol School. He has only recently been cleared to attend regular classes and participate in missions with other heroes.
Although there are a number of other flame-based superheroes in Halcyon City, Collin's abilities are especially extreme and may, in fact, have an uncommon origin. A.E.G.I.S. scientists have posited that his abilities have more in common with those of speedster heroes, except that Collin projects, rather than internalizes, a powerful acceleration field.
