Ford used to run with a gang of teenage mutant criminals. His powers brought him to the attention of an antagonistic foreign power that recruited him. Ford was excited by the money and intrigue at first but when he realized his handlers wanted him to kill a lot of people he ran away. He’s been trying to turn his life around ever since.
