Marauder

Dax's father, Darren Duncan, was the superhero crime-fighter known as the Corsair. He was killed by the villain Flash Freeze when Dax was just a boy. Dax's mother Philomena began dating a shady venture capitalist almost immediately and soon remarried. Dax was shipped off to a harsh boarding school where he threw himself into athletics - gymnastics, fencing, martial arts, boxing, etc. - as a way of channeling his anger. While home on break, Dax stumbled upon a hidden cavern that contained the secret of who father was. Dax is determined to follow in his father's footsteps. He is in contact with a number of the Corsair's old allies who offer guidance - and sometimes criticism.
