Khalid is a Worldspeaker from the planet Xibrion. He was smuggled to Earth as a baby and entrusted to the Sultan of Tarhun, who promised to raise Khalid to as a defender of the natural order. In fact, the Sultan saw Khalid as nothing more than a weapon against his enemies. When the Sultan was overthrown, Khalid was rescued by Samantha Kyles, an undercover AEGIS agent operating as an archaeologist studying the Moon Temple of Tarhun. Samantha brought Khalid back to Halcyon City and is raising him as her adopted son. Khalid views learning to be a hero as a new beginning.
