Mekalarren

Deep in the jungles of southern Sur'Dhanza, around the overgrown skeleton of an ancient civilization the Ceph helped build in the centuries before they learned to live upon the clouds, the Mekalarren remain. Claiming to be the purest known descendants of the ancient Arren race, they have taken upon themselves the sworn duty of defending the remnants of their birthright. What they are defending - and who they're defending it from - varies by who is telling their tale. The Mekalarren themselves speak of the past they dwell upon only in whispered idioms and ominous generalities.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Mekalarren are hulking, bipedal lizardfolk, standing tall above even their stately Kiarren cousins, while simultaneously being nearly twice as broad on average. Their sharp scales flare up into jagged spikes across their bodies, and horns of a similar material curl or arc out from their heads and along their spines. They stand digitigrade, supported by thick tails that can sometimes grow to be just as long as the entire rest of their bodies.
