Telari Order
The Telari are and organization with ancient roots, which serves primarily to protect and safeguard the world of Telarith, particularly the world-soul of the slumbering Titan. The order also strives to keep peace and order within the world, and does everything in their power to maintain the stability of the planet. It is their sacred duty to ensure the safety and nurturing of the young Titan that sleeps within their world.
Structure
The Telari Order is governed by a Lord Master, elected from a council of masters. Typcially, the Lord Master governs for a long time, often until his or her death or by removal by the council. The council is given the task of managing specific aspects of the order, and offer advice and support the Lord Master.
The Telari members themselves are set into nine different tiers, based on theirs skills and how much they contribute to the order. A lower tier reaps lower rewards, and a higher tier reaps higher rewards. Thus, those who work harder and do their job well are rewarded more than those who do worse and commit less.
Different branches and specific groups exist, but the most prominent ones are the military, intelligence, and magical branches. The Telari operate with numerous highly skilled veterans and warriors, who are supported by high-healing and protecting priests and mages. Small units known as parties are often formed from these warriors, and usually consist of soldiers, spies, and healers. Parties are designed to be self-sufficient and able to operate in there own, but also able to link up with other parties.
History
The Telari trace their lineage to the early tela, then only a small fledgling race. There existed a group among them, akin to shamans and druids, who tended and cared for the natural world around them. In time, many organizations and factions with the tela, tera, and teryn societies would be devoted to purging the corruption of the Old Gods, and later the Void and remaining fel energies.
The Telari Order was formally formed after the Great Darkness, when nine like-minded warriors and champions came together in order to protect Telarith herself in case of any further future threats, led by Yavish Kenosh'esa. They determined to guard the Eye of the Aether and the Aether Isles, and to defend against any major threats to Telarith. While small in number, the order eventually grew over the centuries, expanding to become one of the most legendary factions in Telarith.
