Orc

"And Garonar lifted his blade on high, and his battlecry echoed through the heavens. The Orcs of Mistrock had arrived, and the warriors of old Aldonnon shook in their boots. Garonar stood at the head of the horde, and he was their harbinger. The harbinger of war."   Large, powerful, bred for battle. Orcs are usually much taller than humans, usually somewhere between 6'6' to 7'6' but it isn't unheard of for an orc to grow to 8 or larger in rare circumstances. Their complexions range from greenish to grey, to more human looking skin tones. They are usually much hairier than humans, but they don't often grow hair on the upper lip, and their sideburns grow much quicker than their chin hair. Their most defining feature is their tusks which grow in place of the lower canine teeth on their bottom jaw. Orcs tend to take very good care of these tusks, some taking time to sharpen them, but they are rarely used in battle.   Often seen as nothing more than mindless brutes who care for nothing but bloodshed. They are actually a proud race with a strong warrior culture. War is the center of their philosophy, but more important to them is their code of honor. While they are happy to use stealth, and deception in battle, an orc who lies and cheats outside of battle is considered weak, weakness being a crime all on its own by orc philosophy. An orc's promise is one that is never broken lightly.   One famous example of this is the orc lord Garonar, who was tricked into giving the dark lord Nox an oath of service. Despite being deceived, and despite his people being mistreated by Nox's army, Garonar had still given his word, so he served Nox as his honor demanded. The only way for his people to be free was for someone to defeat him in battle, wich no orc was able to do until nearly the end of the war.   Orcs also take great pride in their lineage, going to great lengths to keep track of their family trees. It is common for Orcs to have their family tree artfully woven on a tapestry, or otherwise painted on a wall or a scroll made of animal hide, particularly hides of great beasts such as bears. These scrolls are considered even more precious if they are on hides taken from monstrous beasts like dread wolves.
