Axiom of Causality
The Axiom of Causality is an ascetic way of life taught by the Harbingers that emphasizes the relationship between mortal action and reincarnation.
The Axiom of Causality teaches that because all creatures are reincarnated after their death, the only sensible way to live life is to live it selflessly, sustainably, and to always keep the wellbeing of future generations in mind; If you live selfishly in your current life, your future lives will certainly be harmed by the consequences of your previous life's actions.
The Harbingers often teach the Axiom of Causality in terms of a "harm cycle": our natural inclination to be selfish creates a cycle where we not only harm others, but we harm our future self. The only way to break the harm cycle is to live a selfless life through the Axiom.
