Deepwinter
Deepwinter is the first month of the calendar year in Tellandria. It is the first month of Solitude, and as such is characterized by cold weather and short days. It is directly proceeded by the The Lonely Solstice, the extracalary holiday celebrating the return of souls to the Prime Material Plane to be Reincarnated in the newborns of Tellandria.
Deepwinter in Chapel Valley
The warmer weather characteristic of Chapel Valley makes Deepwinter much less cold and snowy than other parts of the northern hemisphere, but other features reinforce the wintery nature of the month. In particular, Deepwinter sees the beginning of Second Shadowfall, the shadow cast over the valley by the Rings of Tellandria, which begins on the 16th of the month and extends into Wintercrest.
