Fìon-Dhearcan
Nothing is ever easy, in the desert, and the deeper one travels into that arid wasteland the closer one comes to a lonely death. They say nothing lives, in the deeps of the Rhegev Desert. That nothing could possibly survive, out there. Three months out of the year, sandstorms rage, and blinding whirlwinds of dust and sand make travel impossible. Only people with very specialized equipment can survive nature's fury; and even then, not forever. And yet, round the edges of Glaine Cuan, hard scrabble flora and fauna manage to eke out an existence. Scorpions, for instance, and irridescent beetles that can burrow and hibernate for years at a time. So, too, lives there the notorious Fion-Dhearcan. Or, in The Bardic College Campus's informal zoological parlance, the eye-vine.
Bearing eyeballs in clusters and bunches, the vine possesses a rudimentary intelligence; just enough to know that blood is a viable option as far as sustenance, out there in the deep desert. It also has a limited prehensility, able to lash out with a whip like attack when in proximity to a blood source. They will lash out at water skins and canteens as well, leaving the poor victims high, dry, and thirsty in the driest environment on the planet.

Multiattack:
The vine lashes out with a spike-tipped, whip like appendage! 1d20+6 to attack, and 2d6+3 for damage. Damage transfers back to plant as HP, as it drains and consumes the blood from its victim. Victims cannot regain the hit points until they have either had a long or a short rest, or Lesser Restoration, or Greater Restoration, or Eostre's Embrace has been cast upon them.A long, viney plant with clusters of eyeballs where the nuts and leaves should be. Eyes of varying colors, all of them looking around at different things simultaneously. But when they all snap over on to you, you begin to rethink your proximity to it, plant or no. The moist clusters of eyes are absolutely destroyed during the season of storms, laying bare a cage derived of long, needle-like thorns that will wick blood out of and away from whoever is unfortunate enough to by pricked.
Suggested Environments
The eye-vine lives in the Rhegev Desert, on the outskirts of Glaine Cuan and among the oases of the The Shifting Sands.
Basic Information
Genetics and Reproduction
During the sand storm season, the eyes are destroyed, leaving in their places cages of the bloodthirsty thorns that had previously supported them. When the sand bursts the eyeballs, the feather light spores of the plant are released from the seed vaults (what the uninitiated might called thorn-cages) and whisked away with the wind storm.
Growth Rate & Stages
They grow very slowly, but will grow until they fill their space.
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
The vines, in their quest to stay alive, have evolved the True Sight ability.
