Gaius Politanus' Speech
A speech written for the drylanders by Gaius Politanus as they tour the cities of the Cerulean Empire during Embers of 5575 NG. It is a blatantly political ruse to try to force the emperor to give the Garum political party, the Emperor's own party, more power in the regional senate. Their rivals, the Worcesters, seek a religious government supplicating the people to Umberlee.
It is recorded organically on a deep-water kelp leaf that is shredded and reformed into a flexible sheet of fabric-like "paper" that can be folded, written upon, and generally used for correspondance and art.
