Backstory
I was born a princess and heir to my throne. I was born with more power than my parents or grandparents, my mother said I inherited it from my great grandmother, she was an Abberation from a space and time far away. While my parents and people have to rest between levitations, I can perform the spell thrice before I require a long rest. I can even summon a strong wind that can blow a large beast back for up to 1 minute. Trust me I tried to hold it longer, but I think I need more practice. I get so winded afterward. Anyway when I was 7 I was told of my betrothal to Prince Roland of the ice fae. He was a third born prince and therefore not a threat to my throne, but "still a valuable playing piece" as my father would say. He spent the next two and a half years at my palace and once I learned that he was smarter than he looked, we became fast friends. I am glad he was summoned back to his own kingdom though, because a month after he left, they came. Beasts of shadow from another world. I was awoken by my handmaiden, Apricity. As we passed my parents room she told me not to look, but the doors were wide. All I remember were shriveled corpses that did not even resemble my parents any more. I remember thinking it looks like the life was drained from them. Apricity took me to the kitchens and made me change into a slaves gown. She shoved me into a hole in the pantry and told me not to make a sound. As she closed the door I heard a voice. They were looking for me. Apricity tried to stop him, I heard the ring of a knife slide then all that was left was the snapping of bones and her screams. I bolted out the backdoor of the kitchen and ran toward the Avery river. The rocks tore at my feet and the bushes whipped at my face and arms, but I couldn't stop. I could hear him behind me. If I could just make it to the bridge, I could cross then destroy the bridge behind me. I saw the posts, I was so close. But as my feet carried me to the first slab of the bridge, I realized the bridge was already cut. I felt into the half frozen river. I don't know how I survived, but I do know I was found by Arobyn Hamel, the king of the assassins guild. He raised me to be useful to him and I quickly climbed the ranks until I was the best. And here I am, The best. Stealing the staff of the python from some boring noble dragonborn.
