Session 16, Kolat & Construct Lab

General Summary

July 23, 2022

• Combat commenced, the party fought two bolt throwers, two stone defenders and two animator armors

• Going after the bolt throwers, the animated armors were able to make their way to the levers, which got pulled and sent the floor flying up into the floor above it.

• After making dexterity checks, the party was really beat up

• The party then made their way up an old, broken staircase and into a small hallway with a door and holes in the wall about ankle height

• Tahira set the door on fire, which caused the lock to break and set off the poison gas, Agkistrodon broke through the door and the party made their way into the second curved hallway with another door.

• Tahira did the same thing and after the party made their way through the second door, like they did previously, the party met an iron golem standing on a plate

• Anvil getting within 10 feet caused the iron golem to step forward, off the plate and the poisonous trap was set once again

• Tahira and Lyssandra used an ability and spell to cause wind to blow the gas away from the party

• Attempting to fight the iron golem, several were injured while the golem took little damage from a couple of different spells and attacks.

• The party retreated, eventually making their way to the construct room once again, where bits of metal pieces in the walls were activated and acted like a giant magnet, pulling the players metal objects onto the walls

• After just a minute, the walls released their grip and through the door came Dippler, Anvils creator

• Dippler, along with the party retired to the dinning room where Dippler requested the assistance of the party to make discoveries of artifacts and arcane, while defeating the Chaos Helix… by finding one of the legendary oldest and greatest arcane artifacts, a clockwork Mythallar

• The party moved to the storage room for a private meeting and decided to take on the challenge presented by Dippler

• Next, they will go back to Trollskul Manor, distribute items and plan for their next adventure… into Xanathar’s Lair and into the Cache of Dragons
